Carrie Rudge

Solicitor and Mediator at Hedges Law

Oxford, United Kingdom

About Me

Carrie is a family and divorce solicitor and mediator in our family team. She studied law at Cardiff University and qualified as a solicitor in Oxford in 2005. She advises and represents clients in relation to cohabitation, separation, divorce, financial settlements, arrangements for children, and domestic violence and injunctions. Where financial matters need to be resolved, Carrie has particular experience in dealing with large assets such as companies, pensions and property, including properties abroad. With a particular talent for identifying key issues, she is very pragmatic and focused, which increases the chances of achieving an early settlement. Carrie also has considerable experience of resolving arrangements for children, including how much time children spend with each parent, grandparents’ contact with children, and parents wanting to take their children to live in another country. Wherever possible, Carrie tries to ensure an agreement is reached without the involvement of the Court. Where this is not possible, Carrie has represented clients in the Magistrates Court, County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal, through all stages of proceedings. Carrie is a friendly and approachable solicitor who provides excellent and clear advice to her clients, and is very tough when she needs to be. She prides herself on being an approachable solicitor, tailoring her involvement to the needs of her individual clients, and always trying to ensure that the legal side of divorce and separation is as straightforward as possible.
